WINERED Exposure Time Calculator (calc_SN)

Description

This tool calculates the S/N for a given pair of the brightness and the exposure sequence (integration time, number of exposures, and the nodding pattern).

Input

Telescope Select which telescope to use.
Mode Select the mode to use (WIDE, HIRES-Y or HIRES-J).
Slit  μm Select the width of the slit to use (100, 140 or 200 μm).
Season Select Summer or Winter (this changes the thermal background).
FWHM  arcsecond Give the FWHM of the target PSF.
Sampling Select the sampling to calculate the S/N (per half resolution with the Nyquist sampling, or per pixel).
Dither Select the nodding pattern (ABBA or OSO).
cor_factor Correction factor for efficienty (default=1.0).
Flux input(s) J mag Check the option box and give the J mag
Y mag Check the option box and give the Y mag
Wave,Flux Check the option box and give a pair of wavelength in Å and flux in W/m^3.
Each exp sec Give the exposure time for each frame
Number exp sec Give the number of exposures including both target and sky positions
